Overlooked Locations

Austin Harmon has caught his fair share of big walleye. We asked him how he consistently gets it done. Here is what Harmon says, “I would say as far as getting some of those bigger fish,  finding those calm areas right off the main stream was key for myself. This works for walleye of all sizes. Some of the overlooked spots really seemed to be filled with some bigger fish.” The larger females hang out it the calmer water more than the males. “My advice to all is to look for some of those. Those locations that aren’t hit very hard have less people and give them a go.” Typically he finds there’s some fish laying in the area but no one is fishing them  Some of my go to spots are areas that are barely touched,  and it makes for some great fishing!
